The Minipig Research Forum

The Minipig Research Forum (MRF) is a non-profit organisation for all users of Göttingen Minipigs or stakeholders having an interest in sharing knowledge and experience in the use of minipigs in biomedical research. MRF was launched in 2007, and today the science-based network has more than 500 members globally from industry, CROs, academia, regulatory bodies and NGOs.

Membership of MRF is free of charge and all interested stakeholders, apart from solely commercial breeders of non-Göttingen Minipigs, can become a member by applying for membership. All applications will be reviewed before membership is granted. An MRF membership will provide a login to the “Members only” part of the website, as well as an invitation to participate in the annual MRF meeting.

The annual Minipig Research Forum meeting

Every year in May, a three-day scientific Minipig Research Forum meeting, open for all MRF members, is conducted at various European locations. The scientific program is organised by an independent Scientific Steering Committee. Ellegaard Göttingen Minipigs A/S facilitates the practical organisation of the annual MRF meeting and hosts the webpage minipigresearchforum.org and the group on LinkedIn.

The Scientific Steering Committee

The Scientific Steering Committee, which is responsible for organising the scientific program at each annual MRF meeting, consists of members from a variety of research organisations, all using Göttingen Minipigs and having an interest in sharing knowledge and experience in the use of minipigs in biomedical research.

If you are interested in being part of the Scientific Steering Committee or want to learn more about the Minipig Research Forum, please contact us at contact@minipigresearchforum.org for more information.

Minipig Research Forum on LinkedIn

The Minipig Research Forum group on LinkedIn is a social platform to share knowledge and experience on the use of minipigs in biomedical research and to network with other users or stakeholders having an interest in the use of minipigs. To become a member of the LinkedIn group, please apply for membership: www.linkedin.com/groups/4219925/.

This MRF group at LinkedIn is a means of open and honest communication, where an unbiased, science-based exchange of knowledge, experience, questions and ideas can take place. This communication is not to be seen as, nor used for, marketing, promotion, or endorsement of any commercial interest or organisation, as such use would be in conflict with the very purpose of the group: An independent forum where an open exchange of ideas and knowledge can take place without any fear of misuse, manipulation or exploitation.
